Since I am currently thinking about any and every type of Superbowl snack that you can imagine, I came across a recipe for Ham & Cheese sliders and thought these would be perfect for the big game day. But, I wanted to create my own recipe for these because I wanted to include our Liz & Linda's Roasted Garlic & Onion Spread (which is heavenly!) and change up most of the ingredients.
These little finger sandwiches are so easy to make and so flavorful that the would really be perfect for any party you may be hosting or just for an easy weeknight dinner, which is what these turned into for us!
Before you begin, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Add the butter, mustard, worcestershire sauce and brown sugar to a small pot. Turn heat on low and begin to melt butter, stirring occasionally.
While the sauce is cooking, take a 9 x 13 pan and line it with aluminum foil or make sure you butter the pan really well so the sandwiches don't stick. Cut your dinner rolls in half and begin lining the bottom half of the pan with the bottom portion of the roll.
Spread the ham slices in a layer over the bottom rolls, next add a layer of cheese. Over the layer of cheese, spread the cup of Liz & Linda's Roasted Garlic & Onion Spread.
Take the tops of the dinner rolls and add them to the top. Don't worry about lining them up with the bottom half, you are going to end up cutting these anyway so it will all work out in the end!
Once the butter has completely melted in the pan, make sure to stir the ingredients together really well. Take the sauce and pour evenly over the top of the rolls. You can even try brushing it on. Cover the rolls with foil.
Pop these beauties into the oven and bake at 350 for 15 minutes with the foil on. Once they have baked for 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for another 5-8 minutes or until the rolls have crisped up a bit and browned slightly.
Remove from the oven and slice the sandwiches, serve and enjoy! These are so easy to make but also hearty enough to be used as a meal.
Ingredients:
1 lb Sliced Deli Ham
12 Slices Provolone or Mozzarella Cheese
24 Dinner Rolls
1/3 Cup Butter
2 TBSP Spicy Brown Mustard
1 TBSP worcestershire sauce
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Liz & Linda's Roasted Garlic & Onion Spread
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
In small pot, add butter, mustard, worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Cook on low until and let it come to a very low boil stirring often.
Line a 9" x 13" pan with aluminum foil. Cut dinner rolls in half and line the bottom of the pan with the bottom half of the rolls. Layer the ham on top of the rolls, repeat next layer with the cheese.
Spread the Liz & Linda's Roasted Garlic & Onion Spread onto the cheese, spreading it out evenly.
Take the tops of the rolls and place them on top of the sandwiches. Pour the sauce from the pot over the sandwiches evenly.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5-8 minutes or until the sandwiches are slightly brown on top.
Remove from oven and slice, enjoy!!
